RadioLab does it again

Will power and the slacker brain

So what do you think?

Teacher blogs about eating daily school lunches for one year

Why would a teacher care so much about this issue?  What are your thoughts on school lunches?

Could you do something every day and blog about it?  Think Julia and Julia where the young woman cooked something out of Julia Child's recipe book EVERY DAY for ONE WHOLE YEAR.  Gimmick?  You bet.  But people want to see how it turns out.  AND, sometimes you get a book and movie deal.

Look for patterns -- same and different

Soundslide from NYTIMES

How can we use this on the paper?  What themes can we show that will illuminate the community we are in?  Faces at lunch?  People playing music?  Students working on hands-on projects?  This is what we need to show to our readers.

Connecting with social media . . . blogging

Ted Conference again . . . what is the importance of blogging?  Evolution?  Record of who you are?  Records of others or their interests?
Listen to one of the founders of blogging.  She is funny, too.  How will we use this technology for our newspaper?
